Mirrors Of The Month: When Art Meets Advertising

Art and advertising go together like colour and canvas, blending seamlessly to create memorable and impactful messages.

Artists have always been at the forefront of shaping our perception of the world, so it's no surprise that when a company want's to catch your eye, they turn to the world of art to do so.

One example is Alphonse Mucha, an iconic artist known for his work creating advertising posters for major brands, such as Nestle and champagne makers Moet & Chandon. By the end of the 19th century, Mucha’s posters had become central to the visual culture of Paris.

Here at The Fold Antiques, we have a fantastic collection of vintage picture mirrors featuring art from Mucha, as well as other famous artists that were used by brands to catch the eye of discerning customers. In this month's blog post, we'll be exploring the creation and use of fantastic art in advertising materials.
