Crafted during the mid-to-late Victorian era, this rectangular box showcases the traditional tessellated mosaic patterns down the lid and front panel, which are hallmarks of authentic Tunbridge Wells craftsmanship.

The top of the lid and the front facade both feature a beautifully inlaid central diamond motif made from a variety of contrasting native and exotic timber veneers. It serves as an elegant statement piece, perfect for use as a decorative writing slope.

This is an authentic 19th-century antique. It shows minor age-related wear, light surface scuffs, and a beautifully aged finish that adds to its vintage character and historical integrity.
