A beautiful Victorian period, pitch pine long, wide and comfortable railway bench, dating from the 2nd half of the 19th century with stunning patina. The bench features an ingenious swing-back design, so it can be sat on from both sides while waiting for the train to arrive. It is a very nostalgic piece, and you can imagine waiting for the steam train to chug into your platform. Solid pitch pine created from one plank with the perfect amount of wear from customer seating can feel the history; throughout the beach seat are aged cast iron studs created with superb craftsmanship, adding an extra design around the swing back struts to create a perfect balance of 19th-century decor.

One side has the rail detail, and the other side is open, so the bench seems to have different craftsmanship from both ends. The open side looks more minimalistic and very attractive, while the side looks more formal, with the detail, a fantastic look and design.

It is in excellent antique condition with the right amount of original patina. Majestic period features grace any home, ideal for your kitchen design, large hallway or a covered outside area so you can look after the kids and, on an evening, swing the back and look out at your view.
