This vintage Mucha art nouveau mirror is Cocorico, a true collector's item.
The stunning design features a glamorous lady bust wearing a flower headdress with wonderful detail. The image is focused on the face and hair, with fine design in a subtle peach tone. The border is equally impressive, with a beautiful Art Nouveau swirl.
The Mucha signature adds an extra touch of elegance. The mirror comes in a tasteful wooden frame that ranges from light to mid-coloured. It is in excellent vintage condition with only a few signs of authentic original patina.

One of Mucha's most productive magazine collaborations was with the French magazine Cocorico. This illustrated satirical magazine supported the new art and whose covers were designed by foremost artists of the movement.
Mucha worked with the magazine from its first issue, published on 31 December 1898. He was commissioned to design the frontispiece for all issues, several covers—some of which Champenois later made into postcards—and a series of symbolic drawings on the theme of the twelve months.
