Vintage Ogden's Midnight Flake Advertising Mirror.
Ogden's Midnight Flake is a type of tobacco.
Ogden's Tobacco was a Liverpool-based company founded by Thomas Ogden in 1860, growing from a small shop to a major British tobacco manufacturer with multiple factories by 1890. Though acquired by the American Tobacco Company in 1901, it returned to British control with Imperial Tobacco the following year. The company shifted to pipe and hand-rolled tobacco after discontinuing cigarette production in 1962 and eventually closed its Liverpool operations in 2006
The mirror prominently features the slogan "I'm all right! SMOKING MIDNIGHT FLAKE.".
This mid-20th-century advertising piece features an illustration of a man smoking a pipe while holding two babies, conveying a sense of contentment associated with the tobacco.
