Stunning and rare vintage Alvaro Cunhal print.
Prison drawings were first published by Edições Avante!" as part of initiatives to collect funds for the Portuguese Communist Party. The drawings were created from 1951 to 1959 in the Penitentiary of Lisbon, where Cunhal spent seven years in strict isolation and the Fort of Peniche, where he escaped on January 3, 1960. This print is very fine example, perfect for your art collection.
