Designed by the artist Jupp Wiertz in the years around 1926/27 for the cosmetics company based in Karlsruhe, temporarily called Perfumery and Toilet Soap Factory F. Wolff & Sohn. The depiction is considered to be one of the highlights of the graphic artist's work, indeed of the poster art of the time.
Jupp Wiertz ( Joseph Lambert Wiertz ) November 5 , born 1888 in Aachen, was a commercial artist and poster artist. He is one of the most important representatives of German advertising art.
